If your home is not marketed "For Sale" who will know that it is available? After all, many deals take a few months to close anyhow, so don't be afraid to put your home on the market now! There are always people looking and perhaps yours is the one that they can't pass up! Interview your agent and make certain you are confortable with him/her and that they will always be available to answer your questions. Then follow these simple rules. 1) Keep it clean 2) Have it staged if necessary 3) price it competitively. 4) Make it available for showings, at all times, within reason. Happy Selling!

In this way, when you find a buyer, there will be no surprises or unsurmountable issues to overcome. You will know in advance what needs to be addressed and you will have clear sailing to the closing table!

When marketing your property for sale, remember, the first few seconds are the most important. Statistics indicate that it only takes a few seconds at the front door to determine whether the client is going to find interest in your home or not. Make their first impression memorable. Remove all clutter, put a fresh coat of paint on the front door, perhaps a small table with fresh flowers just inside the entrance. Use your imagination, but don't go too far! Your home has to remain neutral to buyers of all ages and tastes. Your cherished momentos don't mean a lick to a potential buyer. Pack them away in preparation for your move. Hire a professional stager who will consult with you on ways to make your home more attractive to the greatest number of buyers. Staging a property is an investment in the sale of the property.
